Same for me. If I feel a sneeze coming on I look at a bright light to hurry it up. I thought this was normal but appetite isn't.

Sometimes I see something weird which I can't figure out what it is. Click on it or if curiosity. I then get more weird stuff shown to me there after. It takes over.

Not so much of a shop but often on country lanes you see eggs for sale outside people's houses with a money pot for donations. Hens lay a lot of eggs and the owners need to get rid of them easily.

Years ago my wife did an online course, I forget which one, it might have been open university (UK). She worked full-time with a fair salary and studied a few hours each week in the evening. She got a student discount card. The requirements seem (or did, perhaps it's changed now) quite low.

And at the end you get a list of statistics. Slept X days, X hours on the toilet, could have reached level 60 if only you went for job B. Spent X hours masterbating. Killed 2 people without you or anybody else even realising. Used X KG of plastic.

I tried explaining this to a friend who was convinced masks do nothing. He would say stuff like "if it can still get through then what's the point". He claimed only people at risk should wear them.

NHS. Despite people complaining about it and funding problems it is still amazing. My sister in-law is in Asia and has cancer. Even with health insurance from her job it's still insanely expensive. She basically can't afford treatment. Getting sick is bad enough but imagine that with the worry of money.

I work for a a UK food manufacturer which did export 40% to the EU. The added costs of getting food over to EU resulted in the sales teams having to renegotiate the selling prices to EU customers. Most basically said no. Why should they pay a higher price when they can source the same type of product within the EU at a lower price. The big EU buyers stopped trading with us.

When politicians say businesses need to adapt I really have no idea what they have in mind when they say that. We are not in a position to demand customers pay more. And most businesses aren't in a position to swallow additional costs. The only reason our business didn't sink is because it's part of a much larger group so was able to flatten out the financial impact by borrowing internally.

I'm starting to think "adapt" means tough shit.

The UK version was narrated by Craig Charles and he really made it better just by adding silly comments over the top. I always used to laugh when the water cannon challenge was on and he would excitedly say "don't let them penetrate your rings"

I only login to Reddit now to see what's going on with Relay, it was a great app which I used for 10 years or so.

The relay subreddit became very strange. People happy to pay for using the app, some due to loyalty to the Dev. I don't understand how people would be happy to pay. I'm wondering how many of these people actually do pay when they switch the feature on.

I just launched Relay and it gave me a notice that it will switch to subscription in the next few weeks. That will be the complete end of me using Reddit.

I went to a restaurant when they started re-opening. We were speaking to one of the waiters about it. He said he has autism and makes involuntary mouth movements. He said the mask helps customers as much as him about getting awkward when his twitch goes off.
