US flat out interfered in Italian postwar elections altering the outcome which was just about to elect communists, started a civil war in Greece, and France was a very near run.
Failure? Ah, but winning the war was never the goal in the first place. Consider what happened as a win, and then evaluate who won.
And in an elevator at 4am, a man invites a feminist atheist to his room for coffee.
Are you a European sick of listening to people only complain about the USA?
Do these exist? :brow:
Europe has such a good deal ripping off the US for defense, they have no idea. Military might is incredibly expensive and to have an idiot pay for you has got to be the best position in the world. If European governments decided to increase defense spending they would be voted out of office by their own constituencies.
China has no such compulsions and views Europe as a weak, old continent ready and willing to be bribed away. European anti-Americanism is enough to get them to go along with it, too. The Atlanticists in DC won't let Europe go easily, though. We could see US base sieges in the coming decade.
Californians are currently infecting Texas en masse.
The best they can do is continue to exist as a thorn in Israel's side. A generation from now things will be different. It's a sad situation. They're victims of apartheid and yet the world won't even ban Israeli athletes from international sport like they did South Africa. Talk about the mildest punishment ever.
I thought the whole thing was debunked. It was a plant by Russian intelligence to attempt to throw the election. Social media was warned by US intelligence and acted appropriately.
Governments quaked in fear from them. I wouldn't call them bogeyman, I'd call them an influential part of a nation's polity. Officials knew they could get killed if they got out of line too far. Honestly governments living in fear of the people is a better outcome than what we have today.
They're forgotten because nobody wants to bring up the idea to inspire today's youth that it can be done.
If it comes naturally to you it'll be received in the spirit in which it was given. If it doesn't come naturally, if you don't know how to do it, it very easily comes off as sexual harassment. We humans are very sensitive to such signals and will quickly judge others, fairly or unfairly.
In the 70s and 80s every European country had active urban terrorist movements that bombed and shot people regularly. Red Army Faction, November 17, Red Brigades, they were big news back then.
Today, they're completely forgotten. An article like this is almost unprecedented.
So weird seeing the sidebar of other stories on The Guardian and over half of them aren't about Trump.
The PRC, USSR, and pretty much any other socialist project you’d care to name had a whole lot of administrators
Those were the hives of secret right wingers that sabotaged projects and tried to hijack the revolution onto the capitalist road.
Yeah but the middle class don't do any work themselves. They're the low-level operatives who organize the exploitation for others. The system wouldn't work other than they take the bribes.
Earth's solar eclipses will be an intergalactic tourist attraction after we join the alliance of free stars.
Osama bin Laden's entire original idea wasn't to defeat the US with Al-Qaeda. It was to use AQ to get the US embroiled in endless wars and force it to spend itself to death.
What can I say? A good idea's a good idea. I don't think any of us Americans realized just how horrid the State Department and the rest of the unelected government really are. Trump, as bad as he was, gave us all a good look at how they operate. How many times did they refuse his orders, or implement false flag ops to prevent their plans from being cancelled?. They flexed their muscles and showed the country who was really in control. The media should be leading the charge to expose and imprison them, but instead they're hiring them. You don't comfort the comfortable and speak truth to the powerless, but that's exactly what our media is doing.
Isn't the middle class the harmful bourgeois element?
Westerners can't pronounce the "X" from Xinjiang. It literally uses a phoneme that does not exist in English. As does Xi. It's like Chinese is a foreign language.
