FOSS fanatics are annoying because they cant seem to understand that there are people who want to use their computers without having a 12 year background in programming jargon and depreciated standards to make sense of their systems.
I know many boomers/tech illiterate people who almost exclusively use FOSS, and they're all extremely happy with it. If you need it, documentation is plentiful and you can usually fix any problems with one (1) search.
Software is an essential part of modern life, and its privatization is very easily avoidable by just being willing to learn the very basics of something you might not know. So, no, you don't need a 12 year background in anything.
Also American Football and SDRE slap, not every emotion has to be explosively displayed, weakness/vulnerability/sadness are a part of life too. I couldn't give less of a shit about what is "real emo" and what isn't though.
How do they even rationalize this? I mean, other than by going "i have the attention span of a fruitfly with ADHD, therefore books bad"
