I agree with what you wrote but I just want to add that liberals play into this too, by handwringing every time even the mildest socdem policies come up, which reinforces people's fear of socialism.

But it's still the same thing as the kente cloth debacle, because the Democrats really don't give a shit about the Postal Service or its workers. They are just defending it because it's the only way they can sneak Biden into office now.

Look how fast they are gonna rush back to Congress to "protect" the postal service, meanwhile there's about to be like 30% homelessness in this country and people have gotten one $1,200 check 4 months ago, if that, and they were perfectly happy to go "oh well" and go on vacation.

Republicans can't attack Obama or Harris or any other Dem on the actual vile and shitty things that they do. They can't tell their base "Obama is droning Muslim weddings and rounding up Central American immigrants into camps" because those are things they do, and their base loves.

But they have to oppose the Dems, who are 97% identical to them, so they just make shit up, like they want to give everyone welfare and forced abortions, and they are from another country.

But isn't that something you could say about Biden's entire existence politically? He's just there to say things that sound good, to trick you into voting for him, and then if elected, do virtually the exact same thing as Trump, because they have the same donors.

It's also because the Democrats don't actually want to save the environment. Their donors are the people destroying it.
