I would always out of habit avoid any links that go to somewhere other than the advertised destination - so if it goes to an analytics platform I would copy and paste the text if the text of the link is a URL, or find an alternative. Always hovering links and being absolutely sure of where they go should really be taught as standard practice.
Presumably you can hover over the link to see the actual URL (which I think is best practice anyway), or is it more sophisticated than that?

Well yes, you move the accounts across to your new provider when you come across them or sign up for new ones (I presumed the problem was that you had so many accounts that you'd forgotten them, and for some reason you needed some legacy information from them). If a few inactive accounts die then no big deal surely, you sign up for new ones?
I frequently encounter people asking about moving from Gmail but I never understand, please help me understand if I'm wrong. Doesn't Gmail still let you forward emails to a 3rd party address? In which case just sign up for another email service and you're done. Email is a standard, not a service. I've changed email addresses probably about as many times as years I've been alive, it's probably the least likely service I could think of that you could be tied in to. Am I missing something huge here?
Respectfully, I'm assuming a "vacation" here is a US-ism for what we in the UK would call a "holiday" (i.e. a recreational trip somewhere), I'm not sure if there are nuanced differences. To see as much as possible of the local culture is generally my aim, that's my main reason for travelling. I'm not saying that in a snooty "high culture" way at all, sometimes the most mundane cultural things can be the most interesting. Also to try the local cuisine. I like trains, so going to places I can explore by train are great - Interrailing around Europe have been some of my favourite trips. Also I did a great train trip around Japan pre-covid.
I think a q&a is overkill, Mozilla isn't controversial in the general public consciousness.
Not to say you can't mention them, just avoid undue weight. Back on Reddit r/firefox turned in to a massive anti-Mozilla circlejerk which is the last thing we need when it's so important to encourage people to use Firefox.
It's the same concerns that get repeated over and over again, given how incredibly important Mozilla is and the good they do, giving undue weight to its flaws is unhelpful.
I think it gets boring, but I think the best response is to downvote it and move on. Pinning it draws attention to it.

You've just reminded me of something that used to happen around 20 years ago on smaller forums which is "forum affiliates", where two or more forums with overlapping discussion interests would simply agree to link to each other to drive traffic.
I'm not sure how common that ever was or if it just happened with the types of forums I would visit, but it worked and there's nothing really similar in the Fediverse. Normally as a rule I tend towards the "stay separate" camp for communities - but something to boost visibility of related communities might at least help with the perceived drawbacks.
First of all I wouldn't use a pre-installed OS (I would always wipe and install my own for security reasons).
Secondly: Thinkpads (at least when I bought mine, last year) let you buy them without an OS and don't charge you for it.
Thirdly: the linked manufacturers above tend to be either US-centric and/or more expensive than Thinkpads.
Sobering up before trying to find ways of organising songs would be my first tip.
