This is a terrifying statistic.

I flip between dreaming of a cabin in the woods, alone, immersing myself entirely within that hard natural life, and dreaming of a cozy apartment in the city, surrounded by people that I can support and be supported by, trying build something greater.

Yeah that's why people manage to accumulate billions of dollars - because they're so fucking considerate and charitable.

But this for some reason doesn't include forcing people to remain in poverty by trapping them in debt, or forcing them to die young by denying them adequate healthcare, and so on and so on. Where does this contempt for the poor come from? I don't understand how you can so swiftly and nonchalantly cast struggling people aside.
