G'day!
Watching the WWE Royal Rumble with Elder, he loves the spectacle of the wrestling and the entertainment. Must say I'm kinda enjoying it myself. Doing exercises on the fitball at the same time because I've turned into a fat bastard over the holidays and it's time for me to get back into shape. I've put on about 8kg since my birthday last year, but the fun's over and it's time to get a bit more active. I think this year I'll focus less on trying to do my X minutes of exercise per day, and instead try to focus on finding activity that's enjoyable for me and the family. Elder needs more exercise than he's getting and should be more active for a child his age. Mr P doesn't exercise much and doesn't walk anywhere. Miniest is a freak who is double jointed and always wriggling about, so there's one I don't have to worry about so much!
Woken up by a giant raindrop hitting my face. Was very confused until I woke up a bit more and closed the window lol.
I'm pretty careful with my oil (I do homemade chicken nugs quite regularly) but a thermometer might be a good idea, take out the guesswork. Actually while browsing Bunnings I came across this and I quite like it

Proud of myself! I've been craving fish & chips, but it's getting to the stage where it's costing over $100 for the five of us! And sometimes it's not that great. So after work I bought some fish from the local market. I bought school shark because it seemed like a good price and gave me sufficient quantity to have a couple of attempts if I messed up, but everyone loved it! It was a huge success! I've always been a bit scared to do it because I'm not 100% on what to do and was afraid I'd screw it up. So I looked up wikiHow, lol. My chips were tasty, the fish was delish and it cost me $20, which is a massive saving. This is a big thing for me!
Fish and chips.. but home cooked.
Magnificent!
Went to Highpoint with the Minis for a free Bluey show. The kids were keen to go but I think it was one of those times when they realised they're getting older. Managed to get school shoes for the Elder and the kids scored a free ball each. Ate at Schnitz and San Churro (kids choice). Am well tired.
Schnitz and San Churro at Highpoint Shopping Centre. Fun day with the kids!
I tell myself this regarding the kettle with embarrassing frequency. Especially when I start pouring (and then cursing).
Went to QVM with the Minipeelers and came home with some hand made soaps, dishwashing liquid (can take bottle back for discount refills, which I've been meaning to get started doing) and castanets 💃The soaps were good value and smell devine, especially the lemon myrtle one.
That's awesome Melba thankyou, I'll pass it on.
That sounds like a suitable option for her, I'll pass it on. Thankyou.
I think she wants to just drop the things off at a charity but I'll pass on your suggestion, thankyou.
G'day! A colleague of mine is getting rid of her late mother's things and needs to get rid of the commode chair and other disability aid/older persons aid type items, but is finding a lot of charities and op shops won't take it. Does anyone know of any place that takes them? They've been cleaned, sanitized etc and she doesn't want to just chuck them away.
Melbcat is lucky to have someone who attends to the details like you 🫂

Play some background music that is appropriately inappropriate.
Made pizzas yesterday but only had enough toppings the kids like for one pizza for them. Decided on a whim to put some leftover chicken cacciatore on the other one with a sprinkle of cheese. Can 100% recommend!
