Started to read The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. So far the prose is boring and the main concept seems hamfisted, so I'm considering dropping it.
Yeah I think the active algorithm plays a significant part, but it also seems like there's a small portion of users that like to seek out conflict. But I think that's just the nature of most internet discourse.
I get irrationally upset when ppl reply to my posts in bad faith so I post a lot less these days lol.
