  • ngl, would be nice to see uber collapse. Seeing them get rid of their AV unit after pouring resources into it and calling it essential to their future is ... weird. but then again, tesla is now worth more than the entire automotive sector, so things have stopped making sense a while back












  • Exactly! From a 2004 paper:

    For each 1 million light trucks that replace cars, between 34 and 93 additional car occupants, pedestrians, bicyclists, or motorcyclists are killed each year in traffic crashes, depending on whether driving behavior is assumed to remain constant or change.

    I'd love to see it updated to account for the SUV/truck/land barge epidemic and the additional deaths from people driving small/regular cars
