A friend gave me his old VR set and after smacking my hand into my ceiling fan several times and falling onto my bed I packed that shit up and put it away.

It really blows me away the amount of empty space the techbros think regular people have in their homes.

Between the amount of space required and the amount of people who can’t even put on a headset without experiencing vertigo it’s very silly to me how much capital must of been spent developing these things vs how impractical they are.

  • Shaun was talking about this in his stream a bit. He suggests that if a game gets popular enough they back off because people enjoy playing it and they won’t get traction, so that leaves the bad games nobody wants to play and they can say whatever they want because nobody is checking.

It’s all quite hilarious — one person makes a YouTube video about some game then a bunch of other reactionary video game nerds just play the stupidest game of telephone all just repeating the first guy.

  • I struggled with this for a long time too.

I’m going to do the meme here and say “reading theory” helps a lot but it’s true. It helped me anyway. Particularly anything relating to propaganda. If you think people are stupid it is likely they were made stupid with willful intent. They are victims and the correct people to hate are the people vested in keeping it that way.

I also learned a lot from reading about Che. He confused me when I was younger because for someone who talked about love so much he committed an awful lot of violence. A true romantic if there ever was one.

  • Most Americans in my experience don’t know what either word means. If you use either one they just make up something seemingly on vibes.

It’s a little more interesting when you describe policy without using the words.

Describe something communists would do: “Ya that sounds good we should do that.” Call it communism: “That’s a bad idea.”

Describe something fascists would do: “That’s evil” Call it fascism: “Not everything is fascism.”

Some people even use the words interchangeably as if they mean the same thing.
