Reminds me of an old joke in my Catholic home country:

Jesus comes across a crowd that wants to stone an adulteress to death. He says to them: "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." There's a silence, then a single stone hits the woman. Says Jesus: "Come on, mom."

The Stauffenberg plot would have been this if it had succeeded.
