Loved that Mercedes & Anna went on at the top of the show, I’ve been posting awhile on wrestle sky with some others that Anna desperately needed chest straps on her gear & she got them this week. Mercedes & Anna just hit fucking hard, I loved especially how animated you see her move & panic in spots like the queen slayer. Mercedes is just it. I’m so happy she’s hit her stride here & in Japan.

With the way she’s been acting, something tells me this isn’t the last time we see Timeless (I saw someone point out that she nearly went into her timeless close up last night before the hip attack, but she got out of it) my theory is she’s putting on an act! Quite literally my favorite album out of the the Mountain Goats, the entire thematic approach & sound design combined with someone Darnielle was so fucking passionate about just makes for something a league above even other concept albums he’s done like Bleed Out.

I’m really really into what’s going on in the AEW women’s division despite the lack of time they’ve been getting. Toni Storm especially has just been fucking divine as of late.

Yeah, I’m semi-retired. My first & longest job was as a radio news broadcaster at my local AM country station, I largely did evening news broadcasts but I also did sports broadcasts for the local high school teams across sports & I covered the local school district. I got my start through a friend I had in theater & by the end I was the operations manager & trained every worker who now works there. I also did some work at my college at an assistant chief copy editor, reporter & head of the diversity chair. I also did editing work on a podcast with a journalist exchange between the US & Yemen.

The reason I call myself semi-retired is I got really pushed out by the journalism department at my college due to my disabilities & hostility at the paper for both my disabilities & being very openly trans. I’m largely fine with this because it wasn’t a great environment but I wouldn’t hate going back to radio work.

it’s nice to be here & try this place out. It’s nice to see a place so queer & leftist centered. I’m not super thrilled about the prospect of losing my wrestling community without there being much of a space here to replace it.
