- I love that Linux (and KDE) give us the flexibility to really make ourselves at home.
- Eww.
Draw.io has that option for PNGs as well. Pretty fantastic if you want to pass around a file anyone can view, but still be editable.
I switched to Antenna pod a few month ago. It is a very solid podcast client with 2 exceptions. One is a bug that means hitting the play button on notifications only works half the time, and the other is Android Auto not allowing you to just pickup where you left off, you have to go into your queue and find the thing you were last listening to every time. Neither are a deal breaker, but both are quite annoying.
I really should sit down and see if I can help with the code, but I have zero Android programming experience. I would hope that auto play on Android Auto connect would be rather simple, but I have no clue at this point.
I saw a video from Gamesfromscratch on the Phantom Camera add-on and it had a nice panel for the camera view instead of PnP. Certainly seems like room for growth built into the editor.
You assume they have an endpoint team. There are a lot of companies under 100 employees out there. They are often lucky if they have an IT guy at all.
I've heard of it but never checked it out. It will be worth a check at least.
You mentioned customizing your bash prompt, I recommend checking out OhMyBash. https://github.com/ohmybash/oh-my-bash.
Alternatively, zsh is also good, and a little bit more modern. I still haven't found a solution that uses modern keyboard shortcuts and text entry functions. Even zsh things like shift+arrows and ctrl+arrows are an after market hack.
I generally agree with you, but on WordPress it can be quite hard to tell the good from the bad. I deal with it professionally, and it is a real nightmare. And as far as I can tell, WordPress takes no responsibility for quality assurance of plugins in their plugin library. They also don't have an official system to warn when vunerabilities are found in those plugins. And most people running and designing WordPress websites don't have the skills or time necessary to monitor and maintain. It's an entire ecosystem ripe for exploitation.
I generally steer people away from wordpress. Although the base system is reasonably secure, the plugin ecosystem is a security nightmare. The burden of maintenance is a real pain in the ass.
Windows 365 is a contingent against the growth of mobel and MacOS. You are right, it is there for business. It competes with other RDS solutions, but I think the focus is to allow business to keep old tools around while everyone is demanding iPads and MacBooks, without having to go to a third party.
Windows 12 won't be a thing client with a subscription to a cloud PC. The economics and technology aren't there. But a good RDS solution tied strongly to M365 is valuable for Mac users and contractors that might not be issued a company computer.
No complaint in my book. I remember as a kid channel surfing, coming upon the 700 club, and Pat here was blaming aids on gay black men. Even as a kid I knew that was at least two types of bad.
