I'm in the process of putting together my own next cloud and moving to proton mail. After that I'll be able to install bridges from a self hosted matrix to discord for people and teams for work. I use edge, outlook, and teams on my work computer but it occasionally connects to my home network so at some point I'll probably put it on an isolated vlan.

The software industry would stall out, mass unemployment, dramatically more car crashes. Coffee, black and green tea, most soda, and some drugs would disappear from shelves and stores. The ideal for folks like you I'd expect is a suburban distanced commune structured like a college campus. Big central building, lots of greenery, some housing and amenities but otherwise walkable and community focused. Like a little microcity with ideally a train running to and from the more quiet and green commune to a larger space with more urbanized environments
