Go to an Asian market and pick up some Maesri Thai curry paste (not sure all are vegetarian, but the red curry is) and two cans of coconut milk (the fatty kind with coconut cream, not the lite versions). Follow the instructions on the can and substitute tofu for meat. I generally throw in whatever vegetables I have on hand as well (summer squash, Thai eggplants, potatoes and onions for massaman curry, etc). Serve with jasmine rice (get a huge sack from the Asian market while you're there). Fast, filling, cheap, and easy.

  • I've never heard of giving renters equity even being an option in the US? Is that even possible? Does anyone have any information on this, including the downsides? Could this result in a situation where the renter would want to cash out their equity, possibly forcing the homeowner to sell if they can't afford it?

Not sure that it's the cheapest option, but I couldn't find clover locally so I bought a few 1 lb bags online from gardensalive.com. Didn't see a good bulk option tho.

  • Definitely see if your local community college has any continuing education program or will let you take woodworking classes. I took night classes at my community college in Arizona, and essentially got access to a full woodworking studio beyond anything I could normally afford, schooling on safety and the basics, and a great teacher who would let us work on our own projects with the oversight of someone who knew what they were doing. Definitely a lot of older guys who would pay the class fee so they could come in and work on their own projects.

Although I've since moved to a place with a crappier community college system in which it is more difficult and expensive to enroll just for a single class, so your mileage may vary...

  • In a way, I'm really looking forward to watching the Democrats eat shit next campaign cycle as they try to portray however many suckers end up with a shitty public plan that will inevitably be set up to be noncompetitive with private insurance as "progress".
