I think we have to remember that ratings systems were entirely made by cultural panic in the 80s over issues we were actually pretty much causing ourselves

On the other hand, I think content warnings should be added as courtesy, not everyone wants or can deal with difficult subjects but we shouldn't bar meaningful discussion in places meant for difficult discussion. I think it's in the capabilities for some kids and young adults to begin being introduced to difficult and challenging questions but ultimately up to the guardian
