Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Holy shit so they're just going to confiscate the assets of political dissidents in Ukraine from now on? To the cheers of :reddit-logo: libs?

Cheering is probably too strong a word

centrist nerds who are saying “it’s bad, but it’s war.”

Is who I'm talking about really.

It's based if a communist government is doing it to the bourgeoisie. Capitalist government is never going to aim this at the right people.

Of course, but gotta sow for the harvest. Now confiscation is not the “omg beyond the pale!111”, but “well, they’ve had it coming” in democracy(tm)

Ah, look, they've learned from the U.S. Oh boy. (Thinking mostly civil asset forfeiture, but I suppose also in the liberal context the seizing of foreign countries' money and gold and shit counts too).
