    and WW2 in general probably. the manga takes place in the late 90's but the USSR still exists, probably a result of the nazis as well as nukes being erased from reality

      Wait this is all background? So the protagonist doesn’t actively cancel the holocaust in the series? It’s just part of the alt-reality?

        All that happened before Denji becomes chainsawman, yes. It doesn't really have much impact on the plot until the reveal.
