stealing from walmart isn’t wrong, doing graffiti on private property is not wrong. But the general concept of stealing? It’s not a virtue and it’s not a fundamental leftist position. Stealing from your fellow man, whose class and financial position you nothing about is not right.

i think the context of the conversation makes it clear nobody is defending this. Yes I admit "stealing is good" is a bit of a vague statement, but it's clear we mean from corporations, rich people, etc. After all they steal our surplus labor value every single day. Their theft is merely legalized. Although they steal from us illegally too.
