Dear Prudence article. Headline says makes good money, letter directly says he doesn't make a lot of money, but isn't in poverty.
as someone who hates self-checkout, if I underscan the items it's because the store failed to train me properly
Ngl I love self checkout because it means I can leave my headphones in the entire time
Hahaha! I know. "have him dumpster dive" is also in there, lmao. And they really only seem upset because they pay for their own groceries.
Like, just have him steal for you, love. Get some free cheetos, treat yourself.
i'll bet she's representative of like 50% of the Tinder profiles that say ACAB
i mean, ACAB and all, but like, it's still wrong to steal from Walmart or do graffiti, I just want the cops to be nice about it, you know?
im sorry that black people hate cops and it’s not because they like stealing? In fact, yeah, it would be nicer if the cops didn’t treat them like criminals?
stealing from walmart isn’t wrong, doing graffiti on private property is not wrong. But the general concept of stealing? It’s not a virtue and it’s not a fundamental leftist position. Stealing from your fellow man, whose class and financial position you nothing about is not right.
im not saying walmart is your fellow man, I’m talking about the concept of stealing and stealing from a working person
stealing from a working person
i think the context of the conversation makes it clear nobody is defending this. Yes I admit "stealing is good" is a bit of a vague statement, but it's clear we mean from corporations, rich people, etc. After all they steal our surplus labor value every single day. Their theft is merely legalized. Although they steal from us illegally too.
im sorry that black people hate cops and it’s not because they like stealing?
black people should also like stealing because it's based
There was a rebuttal to her original answer down in there tepidly defending shoplifting and this was Prudie's reply:
OK, this is fair. But let’s not pretend “stealing food I can actually afford” is breaking society’s unfair rules in the way that something like offering food and water to people in line to vote in Georgia would be.
:i-voted:
:data-laughing: I didn't see that one. Just do both. Steal food and give it to people. Everyone wins. These losers will means test anything.
Free day old sandwiches for voters that wait for more than 4 hours in the line for the ballot box in impoverished neighborhoods.
I always grab something small when I can, like, yeah I wanna get some fresh looking bay leaves but I'm sure as shit not paying 10.99 for them, bourgie grocery store
