no need to write an essay or anything

some libs and baby leftists are kinda baffled by the trump banter here and don't know what's serious and what's irony

They're not saying "people are joking about the slur filter in a way that makes me suspicious" they're saying:

There is a group of 15 ish I would guess people who who like to stir shit by posting racist stuff because they know it will set me off and cause a scene.

Sorry, I'm open to the idea that racist shit is said on HB and even that some of it doesn't get reported and removed, but the implication here (by someone with a 2-day old Hexbear account, on a Lemmy.ml thread) that there is a problem with HB users being actively racist. If you want to throw such a serious accusation like that around you need better evidence than this shrug-outta-hecks

Yeah I know what you mean. I find the user credible enough that at minimum I don't want to see them bullied or ganged up on, but I agree it's a little sus from a new account. I don't think we're gonna resolve the ambiguity either, since I get the impression this user doesn't have the energy to prosecute a case and dig for more examples. At the end of the day I'd rather err on the side of being receptive to complaints that might be difficult or uncomfortable for the user to articulate, at the risk of letting a vagueposting wrecker slide, as long as the potential wrecker's not too bad.

There is no ambiguity in this case. We are very receptive to the idea that there is unaddressed racism on this site because we're fundamentally antiracist. That why we want to see evidence of the claims.

There is literally no reason to accept a claim like this sight unseen, every exchange on this site has been documented and can be retrieved. The only racism in either of the pieces of evidence they've supplied are racist against white people, what other reasonable conclusion is there here?

Oh uh, the ambiguity I meant is whether the commenter is sincere or not. I happen to think they are but idk for sure pretty confident, seeing their post history
