Why not strive to make life better? If you look at a list of nations as ranked by home ownership rates, you'll see something interesting that the top countries have in common. There's a clear solution to this problem.
I agree. I just feel that a bunch of people have unrealistic expectations. Quite a few people I know imagined that shortly after they move out they'll have similar standard of living that their parents had after working for decades. When you're young you want to have fun and you have the time and energy to do it, but not the finances. Is that fair? Yes and no, but such is life.
