There was a time when the US highway system was considered "latest technology" and so the car's unquestioning adoption by the masses has led us to climate change today. Advances in technology are part of what has allowed Capitalism to persist well into the modern day, why you keep hearing from these same bozos about "innovation" on CNBC and whatnot.
