w*ebs, have you read or seen something you thought was interesting/good/so-bad-it's-good recently? I did "what are you reading currently" threads before, but an open recommendation would do as well I think.

Manga:

Angel Densetsu is a manga by Norihiro Yagi and is a hilarious action/comedy about a guy who looks extremely menacing but is actually a nice guy... and accidentally rises through the ranks of local delinquent hierarchies. So what happens if the same author takes his abilities to draw unsettling things, but plays it straight? A good action/horror/mystery manga about a group of warriors with supernatural abilities tasked with hunting demons called Claymore, drawing on an interesting narrative that keeps you invested in reading more. It falls a bit short on having some worldbuilding leading nowhere, which is a shame, but it's a very good manga anyway.

Last Game is a fun shojo romance (with a male MC!) somewhat similar in setup to Kaguya-sama: Love is War - a #1 in everything type of person gets frustrated by always coming second to a classmate he's been around since elementary school, and has tried to beat her in one specific way. Getting her to fall in love with him. I haven't finished it yet, but it's pretty entertaining for a shojo series.

Isekai Samurai is a generic isekai... with a twist. The isekaiee is a 16th century samurai woman. It's only got 10 chapters so far, but the character writing is endearing and the manga is entertaining.

Welcome to Demon-School, Iruma-Kun! takes the SoL aspects of the only book liberals read and mixes it with a suspenseful plot that's not as brainwormed as the inspiration material. It's fun, it's long.

Anime:

Hi-Score Girl is a surprisingly good g*mer focused romcom you will likely enjoy if you like video games of the early 90s, but beware of mediocre 3D CGI animation.

either Anime or Manga:

Ultimate Survivor Kaiji is about an unemployed man with an addictive personality who is in deep debt with local loan sharks and gets the chance to clear it by participating in simple yet high risk gambles. It's an excellent drama series, with shockingly good, arguably outright socialist, politics and an unusual artstyle. It's a long, ongoing manga and like Jojo is divided into several parts.

The Kaiji Manga is on Mangadex, but it's split into parts.

Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji -> Gambling Heathen Kaiji -> Gambling Outcast Kaiji -> The Kazuya Arc -> The One Poker Arc -> The 2.4 Billion Escape Arc
