I'm really curious what the Biden team strategy is here. A ton of families are suddenly going to be homeless, hungry, and unable to pay their loans. Do they really expect homeless families to pour out to the polls to vote for Biden because "well we may be homeless starving and underwater on our student loans but clearly Trump will make our lives worse!" I keep expecting them to announce some sweeping "give people money" thing that conveniently expires in 2025 so they can try to buy the vote but they just...aren't. They could stop this long enough to make people think that Biden cares about them and they aren't. Maybe it's not close enough to the election. It'll be hilarious if they're so incompetent that they just do literally nothing at all and then act surprised when Trump wins again.

The Dems like being the opposition party because then they don't have to come up with excuses for why they do fucking nothing.

He's still a capitalist, and capitalists want an underclass that is suffering to keep workers in line.

I mean sure but usually they at least attempt to do some token media gesture to try to stay in power. I'm not convinced the "at least I'm not Trump!" play is going to be enough for them.

getting rid of exploitation is not the same as making everyone exploited, no matter how hard you want to pretend it is. Taking the whip out of a slave driver's hand is not the same as making him a slave. At least that's what it would seem like you're implying based on the context of this conversation.

The Biden strategy is to condescendingly lecture the poor on how they’re fascists. That’s it.

They are doing just the opposite, they announced that Medicare might maybe possibly start negotiating prices for 10 select drugs... The program is supposed to START in 2026!
