Going to music school and getting the student loan bill. I worked armed security doing shift work for two years and it completely bombed my ability to sleep regularly for two more years. I could have bought a house with the money I should have for something that would be free or an education I would have received even before I hit college.

Honestly going to college was the radicalizing moment for me, I put myself through community college and I figured I was pretty smart. I got to my actual college and slowly realized, oh nobody went to a shithole here and everyone is white and rich. Everyone seems to be mature and put together because they've had healthy lifestyles and zero struggle. It wasn't just insecurity on my end it was a whole revelation.
