I’m looking for suggestions. I haven’t seen much classic anime so well-known and leader-known ones are all good.

Only ones I've seen from it are Akira, Angel's Egg (which I LOVED) and 1 episode of MSG (so far). Gunbuster has been high on my list since I heard about it, but the rest of these also sound great. link
