It may seem like splitting hairs, but I wouldn’t say it’s no more, I’d say it’s at least a little more due to the fact that so many people are entirely disenfranchised by their apartheid system. (The people in occupied/annexed Palestine have no vote on who oppressed them). To say it’s no more than any other liberal democracy would be a bit like saying that about apartheid South Africa.
that so many people are entirely disenfranchised by their apartheid system
In Berlin more than 20% of the adult population isn't allowed to vote. In most Israel cities that number is lower. So if you use that attack do absolutely turn it into the imperial core, too, and call out their racism, national chauvinism and white supremacy.
I don't disagree, all liberal democracies are dictatorships of the bourgeoisie who restrict who can vote and how much it counts for and Israel is a particularly shitty example. But it doesn't fit the definition of dictatorship most of the people on that instance would use
It's still an oppressive occupying force. But I do sincerely hope that they manage to stay a democracy and won't be turned into whatever the fascist ministers want.
Yeah, no idea why that has so many downvotes. Israel is no more a dictatorship than any other liberal democracy

Great points, totally agree.

Agreed!
Liberals who want to disown the idea of Apartheid under a liberal democracy
It's still an oppressive occupying force. But I do sincerely hope that they manage to stay a democracy and won't be turned into whatever the fascist ministers want.
israel is not a democracy unless you consider liberal "democracy" and apartheid to be democratic
