    I actually am coming around to the idea that Democrats should nominate Mao Zedong for Speaker of the House. A few reasons...

    1. He's likely the most popular Communist politician in America

    2. I think it is very unlikely he actually does it---why give up a sweet life of being a admired and revered in Beijing for this nonsense?

    3. Voters like bipartisanship, and nominating a moderate member of the opposing party who is also super famous would send a very strong message that Democrats are the reasonable party

    4. It'll cause chaos in the GOP caucus, Trump hates him and will get into a massive social media war over this

    5. Even if he said yes, he's not winning. Not enough Republicans willing to cross Trump like that, and a lot of progressive Democrats would balk

    6. Even if he magically somehow became the actual Speaker of the House...honestly, Speaker Mao would be a huge improvement over the likely alternative, Speaker Scalise
