Resources For Understanding The War
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Hamas released footage of one of their vehicle kills yesterday with an atgm. Israel did not admit this loss and have kept secrecy about their losses last night.

Armored vehicles sometimes don't die all at once. Plus, a tank has 10-70tons of momentum going forward at whatever speed, and the only thing that can stop that is the same amount of energy going the opposite directions.
There are also levels of "Dead" for armored vehicles. You'll hear the term "mobility kill" thrown around to describe an armored vehicle that has suffered damage to it's wheels or tracks such that it can't move. The crew, the guns, the rest of it is still intact, but the tank is "mobility killed" because it can't go anywhere and has lost most of it's offensive and defensive value. You might likewise disable a tank but destroying it's weapons or sensor equipment without completely destroying the vehicle or killing the crew.
During one of Russia's invasions of Chechnya Chechen troops used sniper rifles to destroy the radio equipment on Russian armored vehicles. They didn't have anything big enough to kill the tanks directly, but it didn't matter. Without working radios and comms equipment the RF tanks weren't able to coordinate well enough to do anything useful and either had to retreat or were overwhelmed by infantry with RPGs and other anti-tank launchers.
It wouldn't surprise me, big vehicle like that is going to have a lot of momentum, I don't think a missile would cause it to stop dead even if it killed everyone inside
