    I used to wonder why the ancient Romans kept using lead even after knowing it was fucking them up even back then but I think if there's history students centuries from now they will wonder why our contemporary world allowed an ongoing crippling disabling plague to keep inflicting unmitigated damage in exchange for treat access.
