It's a classic abuser tactic known as DARVO (deny attack reverse victim and offendor), from the schoolyard bully to domestic abusers. Usually the types drunk with power that will torment you, and then try to play mind games that you're the abuser instead when you fight back, so when they continue their bullshit. They're the ones fighting back.
