No, we've already relaxed sanctions on Venezuela because we need their petroleum products given the ongoing sanctions war on Russia, I doubt there would be a reversal but we might see The Return of The Guaido

i would 100% agree that doing a imperial war on Venezuela would be a boner move in the context of our proxy wars in eastern europe and the middle east, but i have stopped believing in the brain trust behind american empire to avoid jamming its own boner. increasingly, i think this thing is run by whatever smoke screening bozos can three stooges themselves into the war room and try to keep the party machine printing maximum money for the MIC.

my cynical take is that the US will literally do all the wars it can right up until some irreconcilable constitutional crisis where we have two mouth-foaming emergency war powers presidents declaring war on each other with Potemkin navies.

I think the US is down to the bottom of the barrel as far as having ready-to-go troops, materiel, and airlift capacity to do anything to Venezuela beyond a blockade. We're not even responding in any serious way to massive escalations in Iraq at this point, there's just no more juice to squeeze
