The media has actually done a good job at controlling the narrative on TV news, so most older folks who watch the News are getting only Israel's side of the story and don't know the history of the place. Also a lot of them just plain hate Arabs. My boomer family members are always complaining about "bloodthirsty Arab terrorists bringing their problems here."
