Nah, there's a third gender: girl who is most fashionable in winter. Throw on a long overcoat that moves like a cape whilst walking, a massive drapey sweater, billowing pants with long wool underwear and knee-high wool socks, massive boots for stomping on your enemies, an insane scarf capable of lassoing a horse, make all this in black, you've got warmth and elegance.

Finding a mire or less brand new wool peacoat on the side of the road that's only missing a button and having all three gang.

Overcoats are plentiful at thrift stores, you can easily find a massive high quality wool coat for like $100, likewise with sweaters. You only need one sweater; so long as it's a good wool. You can even find fantastic new sweaters for like $150 that'll keep you well warm. That's like $250 and you're set for a decade+ of warmth and fashion.

Sure, they exist, but finding the right one in your size will require time and patience. And maybe the thrift stores near you still have hidden gems, but all of the ones in my area have savvy employees that can spot quality items and sell them separately through online auctions.
