I doubt corporate lawyers are intelligent enough to understand forks can then be hosted on websites other than GitHub tbh. i wouldn't be surprised if a fork emerges when this situation settles, just not on GitHub
They're going to be playing whac-a-mole for sure. IMO, the most likely outcome is that a number of major forks are also toast, new forks in made the next couple of months are likely to get DMCA-ed, and a new successor will emerge later this year that barely resembles Tachiyomi as it is, has a bunch of lame compromises, and will only have a tiny sliver of the userbase or developers that currently exist.
