If you think of Trump as a cult leader and not as a typical pol - a lot of this crazy shit makes sense. He has no number two or even number three. Unless his competitors are insane - they know they can't become president. They're jockeying for position as they grift which explains their otherwise nonsense pro-Trump messaging.
The candidate that makes so sense is Asa Hutchinson. He's been polling at around under 1% this whole time and not only has he done no pro-Trump branding - he's been a mild Trump critic. Maybe he's insane. In any case - he'll likely get nowhere in Iowa tomorrow and then he'll end his campaign.
