People for whom political conviction is an aesthetic. This is not anything substantial, it is a rhetorical fashion show.
I can kinda understand them though, in US "democracy" ordinary people have about as much influence on the government as in monarchy, but don't understand why it is like that, so the question might be somewhat relevant for them.
