they seem to act like people are completely invincible at all times,

For the most part city people don't die. Like some die, but most of them don't. the most dangerous thing they face in their lives are car accidents and cancer.

Whereas, like, you can just fall over out in the wilderness and sprain you ankle and die because you couldn't walk out and keeled over from dehydration. The city people mind cannot comprehend this.
