I went skiing once, horrible experience. Everyone in the skiing lodge was a rich white asshole and it felt like I walked into a country club, no a hitler youth recreation club. That one Bond movie has a really iconic action sequence with it and it was used to good effect for gags in Loony Toons, so I think it's mainly imitating those though idk
