The one thing that isn't mentioned is how these Tekken Coins will be bundled. Take Street Fighter 6's paid costumes: The skins Capcom added back in December cost 300 Fighter Coins, which is around $6 each. Except you can't buy bundles of 300 Fighter Coins. The minimum is 250, meaning you'd have to spend around $10 just to secure one costume. I wouldn't be surprised if Tekken 8 takes a similar approach, meaning that the actual money required to procure cosmetics is higher.

It’s ironic, I much prefer this sort of model with FTP games. There it’s like, I don’t have to pay any money to play the game, the microtransactions aren’t a pay to win mechanic, it’s like, if I feel like I got $40-60 of game out of it I can spend that on some skins. But if I already payed $60-70 just to play the game? Bump that, skins should be built into the base cost.

My Tekken 3 main, Eddie, is locked behind a fucking game pass. I played the demo and it was fin, but there no fucking way I'm paying $70 that's asking for more money to unlock characters.

Wait, it’s not a one-time purchase? You’ve got to keep paying the periodic game pass fee to keep accessing the DLC characters?

Pretty sure its a one-time purchase. You get him with the game pass or with a separate DLC they'll be releasing, but either way you keep the character.
