Pretty fucking disappointing considering I like metal in general but specifically referring to 'because anything exceptional gets crushed by common people, with jealousy and ignorance and all their common evils' then again down the line they spit out 'Androgny and insults, you try so hard to be difficult' ... Good thing it's garbage compared to a lot of their shit and it's only the chorus that gets played for 'thirsty' tik toks... But goddamn, is being goth emo punk etc not a form of queer expression? Maybe it's because I listened to them in the ancient times but the band with songs like "people = shit" and lyrics like "i want to slit your throat and fuck the wound" never seemed like it was going to take a progressive turn to me. I stopped listening to them after 3.0 though
Pretty much just listened to them because loud guitars and drums = dopamine. I was a bit nihilistic and thought a lot of issues with society were due to """stupid""" people. Was always anti-capitalist in a sense, but never really put everything together until after highschool. But yeah here I am still a nihilist but more coherent and understanding that it can be taken in a leftist direction, that life is meaningless without the support of others and the bonds shared with others makes life meaningful. Something something Sisyphus happy. But just feel gross about it. Archenemy to my (limited) knowledge of them would be a better lefty alternative, imo.
