He must’ve seen how the west had strong “support” for Palestinians before 9/11, then it immediately switched to foaming genocidal fantasies afterwards, and now back to overwhelming support (mainly from the rest of the world)

Between his own family being killed in the holocaust and his old age, I imagine he wants to put Zionists in their place one final time, as jokerfied as possible, before he leaves the earth.

Someone linked an AMA Norm did nine years ago where he's talking about non violence resistance, and its aged pretty poorly because a few years later the Palestinians would attempt the Great March of Return protest and thousands of them would be kneecapped by Israeli snipers. According to his TrueAnon interview, that event killed any belief he had in nonviolent protest against the Israelis (as well as completely discredited him among the Palestinians because he had been such a strong advocate for it).

His second appearance on trueanon is heartbreaking. He talks about how he hoped Palestine would be on a trajectory to be freer once he left, and now he doesn't have that hope. He mentioned the ward in a Gazan hospital he funded that is named for his parents, and how that is probably destroyed, which Brace confirms and Norm just says something like "of course" and that is right when the episode ends. Just a gutpunch.
