This is what I'm starting to think. She obviously can't win a primary, even with her experience at VP. This is their only shot. They tried really hard to make her a thing in 2020.

Plan A was do whatever they want while telling the voters to suck their balls because that's what's worked for the last 30 years. And then if and when that doesn't work they get to be the opposition party who sends out fundraising letters and scolds any actual protestors.
