      I have legitimately seen anti-Semites argue for Zionism on the basis of separating Jewish people from western society.

        it is not uncommon. also extremely common to see the argument for Zionism on the basis of eschatology. always inherent in the suggestion by amerikkkans that isntrael is necessary for Jewish people to be safe is the acknowledgement that they aren't safe in amerikkka or any euro country.
