The copyright strike system at YouTube is complete bullocks. It’s very clearly biased towards whomever is making the claim not because that makes sense or is fair, but because it’s less work for YouTube.
The fact that a good strategy for avoiding demonetization problems due to contentID is to upload your own song so it registers in contentID, put it in your video, and then contentID claim your own video because YouTube respects that claim more than the making a whole ass video, says to me the system isn’t very good
