The world begins to settle into a no-longer new century and grapples with the revelation that the world order they imagined; one of unchallenged Western dominion where the only limits on military adventurism would be limited to bizarrely effective Afghan resistance; will not be borne out as had been imagined. The eastern Slavic world is embroiled in war, with the Western powers funneling substantial but inadequate military support to the losing side. The UK has just recently made clear its commitment to the Zionist project, and the memory of pandemic is starting to fade. Warsaw eyes the chaos with an opportunistic glean and begins to imagine that its newfound independence from Muscovite hegemony could even be extended to taking Eastern Galicia by force.
