The things that the media focus on are her sex life/relationship which is typical celebrity gossip nonsense, but she parlayed that into an empowerment brand unlike other celebrities which I suppose may resonate with girls and women who hate having people constantly criticizing them for private affairs. Plus, there are only few reasons why people become popular. Either you’re extremely transgressive and controversial, or you’re widely appealing, or both.

Her feud with Kanye was also iconic. But nowadays he’s just dragging it out cause he’s washed while she just subtly references it or talks about it to the media constantly like it’s still relevant lol
