Had the convenient effect of memory holing the Geoege Floyd protests as well. Somehow the contrast in police response has also been totally erased from the conversation. The fact they even got near the Capitol building let alone were allowed to roam freely inside shows exactly where the people legally allowed to kill stand, and somehow this is erased as an attempted and very serious coup against the democratic party. If they were allowed to storm the building without being shot, then if it's a coup against the democratic party, it only failed because their goals had already been accomplished prior to their actions
And they didn't do anything about it. No one was dragged from their homes and shot, there were no show trials followed quickly by hangings. They imprisoned a few proles and cracked down on political rights and that's it.
