Ruby crystals and ruby gemstoes are wholly different things. While the original stone is large, you don't need to be a gemologist to know the rubies that go for $30 mil (the ones the South African Chinese oil traffickers like to buy) don't look like dyed marble. They look like a clear cut piece of coloured glass.

This is "the world's biggest ruby" the same way I'm the world's biggest marxist (by volume and nothing else).
